Christmas Trees Must Represent All Religions

Post From Dec 10, 2006:

SEA-TAC Airport -

So much for the holiday spirit. Can't even do holiday spirit any more?!?! This must be one pissed off Rabbi for him to NOW go after a private organization suing them for displaying Christmas trees. Why now?!!? Why a private organization?
All of the Christmas trees inside the terminal at Sea-Tac have been removed in response to a complaint by a rabbi.

A local rabbi wanted to install an 8-foot menorah and have a public lighting ceremony. He threatened to sue if the menorah wasn’t put up, and gave a two-day deadline to remove the trees.

Sea-Tac public affairs manager Terri-Ann Betancourt said the trees that adorn the Sea-Tac upper and lower levels may not properly represent all cultures.

She said that since this is their busiest time of year and they don't have time to add a fair representation of all cultures, her department decided to take down all of the decorations, review their policies, and decide if they need to make a change for next year.

You know, our focus is on customer service, getting our passengers through the airport, and we thought if we could take the trees down and avoid litigation because we don't want to littigate with this individual, we want to reach some kind of solution," Betancourt said. "But that is going to take some thoughtful discussion and we would like to have time to have that thoughtful discussion."

Until then, no Christmas decor at Sea-Tac.

The same decorations have been put up for at least 10 years, she added.

Here's the funny part.....

"Terri-Ann Betancourt said the trees that adorn the Sea-Tac upper and lower levels may not properly represent all cultures."
HOW in the world could anyone expect a lighted, decorated, "christmas-y" tree to represent all... ALL ... cultures is beyond me. It is beyond the pale of human thought and reason!!!!

Christmas is a judeo-christian religious celebration of the birth and life of Jesus Christ.......... WHO WAS A JEW NO LESS!!!

There is no way on this GOD-created earth that Christmas can be expected to be accepted by Hindus, Shinzas, Mayans, Jews, Muslims, and Wiccans. (Well, maybe it would be accepted by the Wiccans as it deals with trees).

Now tell me again which is the true religion of the one and only High and Mighty GOD? The one that is always under attack, of course.

If anyone doubts that Christmas is under attack, they are blind to all things going on around them. It is utterly clear and proven time and time again. Christmas is not an all inclusive religious event, therefore it must be eliminated. But, doesn't it seem strange, odd, hypocritical and utterly unfair, that Christians and their religious holidays must end or adapt to other world cultures, but the same is not expected of all the other world's religions.
