Bush pushing war and destabilization?

Post from April 9, 2006:

From the Telegraph Online:
Dang Pres Bush pushing us to WAR once again and AGAINST everybody's wishes including the generals, the media, and the UN. How dare bush take over the world.
"Some US military chiefs have unsuccessfully urged the White House to drop the nuclear option from its war plans, Hersh writes in The New Yorker magazine."
.... "Some US military chiefs"??.... hmmmm, care to state some names to back up your contention? no? didn't think so.
"The conviction that Mr Ahmedinejad would attack Israel or US forces in the Middle East, if Iran obtains atomic weapons, is what drives American planning for the destruction of Teheran's nuclear programme."
... hmm that statement sounds like he doesn't believe its true and thus Pres Bush is once again ignoring the obvious that Iran is no threat.
"And last week, the Sunday Telegraph reported a secret meeting at the Ministry of Defence where military chiefs and officials from Downing Street and the Foreign Office discussed the consequences of an American-led attack on Iran,"
hmmmm SECRET MEETING eh? wow, how did you find out about it then? schaw.. as if US would act against IRAN without Brittain's assistance.
"The military option is opposed by London and other European capitals. But there are growing fears in No. 10 and the Foreign Office that the British-led push for a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear stand-off, will be swept aside by hawks in Washington."
ummm, then why is Blair and France talking about nuclear options? why is Germany so far on our side as well? The ONLY people not on our side is Russia and Germany and the MEDIA.
"The attention given to the nuclear option has created serious misgivings among the joint chiefs of staff, and some officers have talked about resigning, Hersh has been told"
ummmm. Somehow I don't think so. They would have already resigned over IRAQ if they had problems with fighting. seems odd that chiefs of military would have problems with use of the military.
"The military chiefs sought to remove the nuclear option from the evolving war plans for Iran, without success, a former senior intelligence officer said".
Yeah, right. the appointed military chiefs have a problem with war????
"The election of Mr Ahmedinejad last year, has hardened attitudes within the Bush Administration. The Iranian president has said that Israel should be "wiped off the map".
Well, I wonder why that would harden our attitudes???
"Mr Bush and others in the White House view him as a potential Adolf Hitler, a former senior intelligence official told Hersh. "That's the name they're using."
NO, REALLY???? another HITLER??? Bush must be mad. Iran's leader can't be like Hitler because only Hitler wanted to kill the jews.....
"A senior Pentagon consultant said that Mr Bush believes that he must do "what no Democrat or Republican, if elected in the future, would have the courage to do," and "that saving Iran is going to be his legacy".
There goes bush and his GOD-complex. And what the hell is a pentagon consultant?????
"The senior defence officials said that Mr Bush is "determined to deny Iran the opportunity to begin a pilot programme, planned for this spring, to enrich uranium".
That damn Bush!! He is going to destroy another duly elected govt and cause destabilization in another peaceful country.
